Shop Photo Journal

Dave with Jim Klages, professor of trumpet at The University of Central Oklahoma at Edmond.  Jim was also the solo cornetist with the Marine Band in Washington DC for many years and possesses, what we call here, "extreme" technique and style.  Jim was making the final decision on his 900 series Bb cornet and wowing us at the same time...
Dave Monette with Greg Smith from Columbiana, Ohio.  Greg was visiting the shop to pick up his new AJNA II Bb trumpet.
Some of our clients travel a very long way to visit the Monette shop.  Robin Wukits traveled from Babenhausen, Germany to visit the shop and have his AJNA Bb trumpet adjusted.  He is joined here by long time Monette client Gerald Webster and Dave Monette.
We couldn't possibly keep our clients happy without our faithful Fedex driver, Dave Bush.  Every instrument we ship goes through his hands.
Tubist Mike Conatore came by to get a model 98 Monette tuba mouthpiece this winter.  Mike, also known as K7NT, is an avid amateur player, and one of Dave Monette’s HAM radio friends! .
From Brazil (via Louisville, Kentucky), Fabio Brum visited the shop this Winter to finalize his trumpet order.  Fabio is a talented trumpet player who competed in the National Trumpet Competition and,  more recently (with his new Monette B993), in the International Trumpet Guild competition.
Client Rob Barker, from Tacoma, Washington, picked up one of the first production versions of the 2000LT C trumpet in June of this year.  He is the first Monette client to have a matched set of 2000LT trumpets!  Rob is a very talented player studying with long time Monette client Ben McDonald.
Dave in Boston with client Waldron Ricks.  Waldron, now living in New York City, is on track to receive his new B993 this Fall.
If you haven't already heard the Albany Symphony Orchestra, we suggest that you drop what you are doing and pick up a few of their recent CDs.  The trumpet section (all former students of Charlie Schlueter) are outstanding.  The trumpeters are Eric Berlin (foreground), Eric Latini, and Chris Still (in the background.)  Eric Berlin and Eric Latini both use C937s and Chris Still uses an AJNA C trumpet.  Check out our multimedia section for sound clips and album information.  (Thanks for the picture, Chris!)
Our new final assembly person, Tom Johnson, putting the finishing touches on a Monette trumpet.  Tom started with us last December, and we have had no problem keeping him busy.  Welcome aboard, Tom!
