Important
Things to Know about Monette Instruments
Our
instruments are truly custom built, made one at a time for each
individual player we work with.
Monette
instruments are designed to be played only with Monette mouthpieces
of the correct pitch and correct weight(s) for the specific model
being played.
Due
to our limited production and labor-intensive designs, there has
always been a waiting list for Monette trumpet orders. Please
contact our shop for our current backorder.
The
weight and model of Monette instrument that best suits a given
player depends on a wide range of variables, most notably their
sound concept, their body use as they play and the types of rooms
in which they play.
Lighter
instruments are more forgiving if the player often plays in small
rooms or has some unresolved body alignment and tension issues.
Heavier
instruments usually work better for players who are used to using
Monette mouthpieces, who play in large halls, and who have an
open and aligned physical approach that allows them to play with
their entire body.
