DAVE MONETTE GIVES A PRESENTATION TO THE ADIDAS DESIGN GROUP

Dave Monette was recently invited by the Adidas Corporation to give a presentation to the Adidas Design Group - about 75 of their product designers. He presented a 45 minute video detailing all aspects of his work, which he narrated in realtime as the video played. A large part of the video presentation were detailed specifics on how core elements of three of his hobbies - flying, HAM radio and Yoga - have directly influenced his instrument and mouthpiece designs.

This type of "out of the box" thinking is exactly what Liz Callow, Color and Trend Manager for Adidas Global Design, was looking for. Several designers and managers attending said Dave’s presentation was the most interesting and innovative they had experienced in years. To top it all off, New York freelancer Ravi Best came to town for the show and gave a one set, informal concert with the Gary Hobbs Trio at the reception that followed Dave's presentation. A great time was had by all!
