| With a recent wave of orchestra orders, we find our orchestral
C trumpets continue to grow in popularity both internationally and in the
United States. Recent orders for matched sets of instruments from
the Royal Danish Opera (two instruments), the Stockholm Philharmonic
(three instruments), and the Hong Kong Sinfonietta (two instruments)
are keeping Monette office manager Gretchen Willoughby busy with the extra
paperwork that comes with international institutional orders. The
Israel
Philharmonic is also about to go on an extended world tour using a
matched set of Monette C trumpets (SAMADHI, SHAKTI and 900 series C trumpets)
to perform Shostakovich 5 and Scheherezade all over the Far East.
In addition, the Minnesota Orchestra trumpet section now uses three
AJNA C trumpets to help produce a sound that leads the rest of the orchestra
in Minneapolis. In the chamber vein, the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra
section continues to use our instruments on piston trumpet literature.
