| Sugilite is an extremely expensive mineral - a relatively rare pink to purple cyclosilicate mineral with the complex chemical formula. The sugilite we use is from the northern Cape Province of South Africa and is actually a by product of mining manganese. In less expensive, less desireable sugilite samples, one can often see gray veins of manganese. |
